Welcome to RACE (Redland and Clifton Energised) an exciting, Bristol based, initiative exploring the Olympic Values of Respect, Excellence and Friendship and the Paralympic values of Courage, Determination, Inspiration and Equality.

We are part of the London 2012 Inspire programme which enables non-commercial organisations across the UK to link events and projects to the London 2012 Games in an official scope.

The RACE Fun Run will be held on the Downs, Saturday May 12th. There will be a warm-up from c. 10.30am and the run will start at 11.00am. The run is for parents and children, although for the younger children we recommend our Olympic-themed treasure hunt. There will be goodies for all children!

For the women there is a pilates workshop in St. John’s School gym, Worrall Road or The Running School at The Exercise Club, both at 10.00am.  Then breakfast at Aqua for 11.00am.

Come along to our breakfast event on Saturday, March 17th.  For the Blokes’ Breakfast there is the Running School at The Exercise Club, Blackboy Hill at 10.00am.  This is followed by breakfast at Aqua restaurant with several times Paralympic running champion, Steve Brunt MBE.

He will be at school for the autographs and photographs as we did with Oli, and rowing workshop at the exercise club for year two children at the school.
